LAPWING FARM

Lapwing Farm is a versatile and beautiful venue on the Mendip Hills for weddings, retreat and workshop hire.  In an area of outstanding beauty, an old 18th Century stone barn nestles within the south facing slopes of the mendip hills. The extensive panoramic views as you enter the site, continue towards the Blackdown and Quantocks hills and beyond. 

As caretakers of this wonderful site, our intention is to respect and protect the land. Often the natural wildlife, including deer, hare, fox and birds of prey bless us with their company.  

Lapwing Farm has an off-grid system in which solar panels charge the batteries for our electricity supply. A bio mass boiler provides us with hot water and heating. It has its own water supply via a bore hole. 

Solar powered toilets and showers are provided in a brand new cedar cladded building. 

The venue is ever evolving and we continue to create a space which celebrates this.
